What is the best kind of marriage therapy? I have helped many couple’s over the years and I strive to stay on the cutting edge of what is new and successful when it comes to therapy techniques. A colleague of mine introduced me to Emotion Focused therapy. She was so excited about this new type of therapy because it was doing wonders for her clients in couple’s counseling that were stuck and not making any progress. I immediately researched it and fell in love with this type of therapy. I immediately wanted training in emotion focused therapy. It just makes sense!
When you hear about it, it clicks in your brain. There is definitely an “ah ha!” moment. After using it successfully and seeing the amazing results in couple’s therapy, now this is the primary technique that I use for all couple’s therapy. It makes the old kind of marriage therapy seem archaic!
I recently successfully discharged a couple who was so thankful that their marriage was doing so well after EFT. They told me, “You know, it just seems like common sense, but we never would have thought of this if we hadn’t come to therapy. It’s amazing what we know now and how we’re able to use it to deal with conflict and become closer than ever!”.
My passion is to be able to bring happiness back into marriages and help people with issues of low self-esteem and depression. My heart aches when I see the emotional pain present in people’s lives and I try to do everything I can to get them out of these ruts and onto the path of healing and happiness.
